The Modesty of Life

The sea that inspires.

After the 2 weeks tour to Miri, Bintulu, Sibu and Kuching this time, it has taught me the modesty of life.As compared to the previous trips , I have learnt that no matter how sophisticated or humble your house is, men are happy as long as they appreciate life, spent quality time with their friends and family. Wealthy doesn’t guarantee happiness, as long as you spent within your limit, it’s sufficient. But of course, you need to be wise and smart enough to find group of people who can be with you, who can improves your personality as whole. By then, it doesn’t matter on where you are or what are you doing, you will be happy though.

Having the opportunity to stay at my friend’s house, which is on the sea, I learnt to embrace life more .I felt sorry for the Ibanese who trapped on the island, who didn’t seek the opportunity to excel themselves but at the same time felt proud for my friend who knows how to shape and plan his life against all odds. Ibanese’ life is pretty simple, they earned just enough for their own living, not a single penny more. They catches fish by the river, plant their own veges and “menganyam tikar”. They married at the young age of 20 and the cycle continues like this. At lazy afternoons, the youngs sleep on the verandah of the long house, with sweat dripping off and at times flies come surronding. They eat junk food and tidbits all the time. The teenagers will just loathe around as their favourite past time. As compared to the city children, they have all the nutritional food and were sent to music classes, ballet classes and all kinds of exposures. However, each has its pros and cons. The city children might not have time to embrace and explore the goodness of nature like how the Ibanese children run around bare footed in the kampong, by the sea. Also, city children might not have as much time to spend with their siblings and parents as urbanities seldom stay at home.hence, men have to master the skills of balancing everything in life.

The first thing I woke up every morning is look at the sea. LOL it was calm and tranquil, but yea, sometimes, it was bored. It’s good time to reflects on what you have done and to plan your future. Away from the cyber world, I have had watch the most television and daydream and “cakap kosong” the most in this trip. Nonetheless, it was fun! Because how on earth could I have the time to talk rubbish when uni reopens? Oh yea, I ate a lot too! It was fun to barbequed by the seaside and also, drinking the coconut while enjoying the breeze. Forgetting that it actually will makes me tonnes darker! Who cares.

The next hilarious thingy we have done being switched hotels; from the classy Grand Magaritta to the Tunes, which is just a few shop lots away haha. It was a trip to try out the hotels though, from the very lousy Casuarina to the Grand one :)

The lobby

It actually calms me down and cultivate my peace at heart as now, I’m sitting down calmly, peacefully at home blogging; where the usual me will start planning where to go and what to do on weekends. Hence, money kept flowing out without input. It can be great pleasure by sitting calmly at home, have good rest and clean up all the dust on my cupboard .

The next place I wish to go would be Japan, hmm, it is a country where tells a story that hard work pays off. It doesn’t have all the privilege like the Westerns in history, still, it is as advanced.
